stats and sitechecker were open to the public and search engines

Please could someone help me. I did not realise the stats and sitechecker were open to the public and search engines,  because of this the search engines say I have a great number of duplicate content pages in these files.

I think by acessing my htacess file I could then redirect any traffic going to my stats and site checker to my main site.
I am not technical so really need this to be basic help.

I also use FrontPage server extensions.

I understand I need to turn off my FrontPage extensions then copy the htacess file open and past the new code to the bottom.

please how would I write the code?
