Hi

   Don't know if this is the right forum. My friend in china as been trying to open my web site and gets a (cant view this page). but  he can open other web sites ending in .co.uk Tried to send him direct links to a specific page but same answer

This is probably related to the firewall issue in china, being referred to colloquially as the great firewall of china. It seems to be effecting shared hosting most of all so a possible workaround would be to get an SSL certificate (which would net you a dedicated IP) but this solution does not always work and will cost extra. China is terrible for blocking websites and IPs in general.

and..... as you can imagine there are a ton of PCs in china. for some reason they don't believe in security and there are alot of "zombie" PCs in china so alot of chinese ip addresses are blocked by other countries.

It is likely to be the so called 'great firewall' that Duskjome mentioned.

It is a common problem with shared hosting providers unfortunately. It only takes one user of the server to put up something they find objectionable and the whole server IP gets blocked.
