I am on a business line but my neighbour who is on a home line has faster broadband, why would that be? Our properties are in a small rural development 2 miles from the exchange and are on an EO line. Both properties were built new 9 years ago and are very close to each other i.e. 20 metres apart. We are both with BT. The BT speed checker run in my property shows a connection speed into my property of 2.52mbps and a download speed of 1.92 mbps, the connection speed into my neighbours property is 6.18mbps and a download speed of 4.42 mbps.
