4G Backup & Business Broadband switchover, do you keep same IP?

We're looking to get a BT Broadband line that offers a static IP address with the broadband, it also includes a 4g backup router.

Our question is, if in the event the ISP Fibre fails and it rolls over to the 4g dongle, do we keep the same Static IP address or do we gain a new temporary one?

If it's the latter, from a business standpoint, what's the point as our services will still be inaccessible via the old IP?

Thanks in advance,
Ciaran

Do you run your own webserver?  If someone else hosts it, it won't matter.  You and customers will still be able to access it.

I turned off wifi on my phone and went to whatismyip.com via 4G.  The IP address was different to my static IP.  But I don't have a 4G router for my network.

It only matters if you host your own webserver.  But on my phone I turned wifi off and loaded whatismyip.com over 4G and the IP address was different to my static IP.

Hi MatureGamingltd

The static IP will continue to run when using the Hybrid Connect 4G backup.
