We have a BT Business Smart Hub 3 that is connected to a TP-link Ethernet switch. A number of devices (computers, cameras, etc) are connected via Cat5 cables to the switch
We would like to restrict network access to some of those devices to people in an "admin" WiFi network - so those who were using our guest WiFi network would not have access to them.
I can't see any way to configure multiple WiFi networks in the Smart Hub nor any way to control access in this way. But I wanted to check if this was possible at all and, if so, how I might go about it
Many thanks, Graham
Hi GrahamCriddle
People using the Guest Wi-Fi are locked out of the internal network, does this work for what you're wanting this for?
Hi Beth - thanks for getting back to me.
I don't quite follow and so I might be missing something.
When I am using my iPad connected to the wifi I can see devices that are connected to the wired network.
Is it that the router supports two WiFi networks - the one I am currenty using and a Guest one?
Thanks, Graham
Hi, I'd recommend checking this from tech out if it doesn't work: Troubleshooting problems with Guest Wi-Fi | BT Business. Then, select Livechat if it doesn't help so a tech specialist can get involved. It shouldn't take them long.
Thank you - that's really helpful
I understand the option a lot better now - I'm not sure if it will work for us but I can explore further
Appreciated, Graham
