Emails alerts from Backup Exec application go missing for internal email addresses.

Hi, 

I wonder if anyone can help. 

 

On the 1st of February 2013, emails send from Backup Exec to our client own email address stop working. 

 

Backup Exec is configured to send email alerts to mail.btconnect.com (without it having username and password).

 

Basically, Backup Exec can send emails to external email address via mail.btconnect.om, but it goes missing when send to clients' own email addresses (btclientname@btclientdomainname.com).  Any idea?

Hello CShelpdesk,

 

A few thoughts on this:

 

Make sure all the live updates have been run on the Backup Exec server and the remote agent has been pushed out to the remote servers.

 

If any antivirus is running on the Backup Exec server take a look at the following link for problems this may cause with email notifications  http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH39199

 

also run a repair on Backup Exec and recreate the notification.
