We have recently installed a new server and are running two domains through the exchange server. One domain was alredy hosted by BT and was using smtp.outlook.com as a mail relay. The other was not hosted by bt but was being relayed through mail.btclick.com.
Because we can only have one smart host (mail relay) on the server we transferred the second domain so they were now both being hosted by BT as I was told this is the only way they would move the mail relay from mail.btclick.com to smtp.outlook.com and so with both domains being on the one mail relay I could run both through our exchange server.
However, after talking to BT today when the domain was finally transfered this morning I was told the second domain is being relayed through mail.btconnect.com and the first domain couldn't use mail.btconnect.com.
There must be a way for BT to get both domains to run through the same mail relay seen as they now host both domains?
