Setting up MX record in 123reg with BT information

I have my domain hosted at 123reg and have recently authorised my btconnect account to use the domain name for email. I have received an email from bt saying the email account is now active but i now need to update the mx records on the primary domain to redirtect the email.  The information does not correspond with what 123reg requires.

See below:-

What you need to do

Because your domain ${PRIMARYDOMAIN} isn't hosted by us, you need to make sure your email is routed okay. Here's how to do this.

  1. Log in to your domain host ${PRIMARYDOMAIN} (you'll have these log-in details – we haven't got them).
  2. Confirm you own the domain by inputting MX record ms1*****.msv1.invalid, priority 50.
  3. Redirect your email to your new service by inputting MX record ******-org-uk.mail.eo.outlook.com, priority 1.

When try to complete step 2 in the 123 reg control panal it comes back with invalid.

Step 3 is ok - but obviously the email redirect is not working as yet.

Can someone supply with a little more please as the email address in BT Manage services won;t validate either.
