The broadband speed has been like this for two weeks at least now, barely usable in this internet age.

Something is up.

Can the technical department look in to this please.

No changes hardware/software have been made this end, did the usual checks to.

Thanks

Quick chat with Iain put it down to a faulty socket faceplate which is being replaced now.

looks like taht may have been the issue, You may need to get BT to reset your BRAS profile if it does not speed itself up

That didn't last long, new faceplate had the speed down to 0.5MB after a week. The first few days it worked ok.

Plugged in to the master socket the router speed shows 4MB but it drops down to 1MB after only a few hours.

No faults reported on the line last time I queried.

Buy a new faceplate again or get on to BT?

Hi Kooga,

I'm sorry your connection speed has dropped again. Before buying a new faceplate I would also recommend checking your speeds at the Speedtester site. This will give you details of your synchronisation speed and your line rate, which can help the technical team troubleshoot the problems. There are also some help and support articles for Slow Broadband Connections and losing your connection.

If you are still experiencing problems I would then talk to the technical team to check the line.

I hope you get on OK

Kind Regards

Fiona
