since changing to internet explorer it takes ages to connect to a web site, even bt yahoo home page. keep getting the same message " unable to connect" and a diagnostic pop up appears. is anyone else experiencing this problem.
Make sure the firewall ain't blocking it or the anti virus is scanning links which will really slow it down to the point of not connecting.
Also check IE ain't set to use a proxy server and that all the settings are what they should be.

what did you change FROM??
you issue is vague and could be many things.
we can narrow this down by knowing:
do you have another pc on the connection that works fine? - this rules out the broadband line
can you get internet fine on another browser? - this narrows it down to software
