Please help, I have 4 Mobile Handsets one is an IPhone. All with BT, we have had these for many months and pay for Data and never gone over on usage.
An average bill is £130 monthly for this.
As a result of an Apple update in October (not to the users knowledge) the IPhone now uses mobile data to update (not just WiFi). I am told by BT Staff today this is a 'Apple change'. This resulted in a 2gb over usage.
I accept if it has gone over an amount must be paid and we must review to ensure we have the correct package (which we have for months??)
To receive a £1413.29 Bill including £1068.78 charges for this 'over usage' is unacceptable.
BT offer a 3GB bolt on for £20?
We have tried to resolve this today with three BT personnel who all understand the issue and even explained that it was a IPhone change responsible, yet say nothing can be done and we are responsible for payment.
TO CONCLUDE - OUR DAY TO DAY USAGE REMAINS UNCHANGED. YET AS A RESULT OF A APPLE CHANGE THAT BT ARE IN KNOWLEDGE OF, WE MUST PAY A WHOOPING £1068.78???
I do hope BT can help with this before further action is taken.
