365 Webmail

I prefer to have all my email on my PC and not stored on the server as I can frequently be away and unable to access the servers.

Recently I have had a problem with my PC which required a complete software re-install .  During that time I had to use the MS365 webmail - it was fine.   Now that my PC is back and working with all old emails re-installed I have downloaded all of the incoming mail from that period.  BUT,   all of the sent mails, some with attachments, are on the server and I would prefer copies on my local PC.

Any thoughts on how I can move these messages across?

Try transferring the Sent Items to the Inbox. They should automatically download the next time you collect your e-mail. You can transfer them to the Sent Items folder in your pc e-mail program. Watch out though, as they will probably arrive all mixed with the Received e-mails and will need indentifying and transferring to the Sent Items folder one by one.

Thanks,  that is what I finally did with a complication or two.

I did not want to have to sort through and pull them all out from my Inbox so ...

Created a sub-folder in Outlook,  then directed all incoming mail to that.   Did a send/receive and everything in my Webmail Inbox went to the new subfolder (they were already in my main Inbox) - deleted all those.

Copied the web based Sent Mail to the Inbox ... then did a Send/Receive which brought all messages to the sub-folder.

Reset the delivery folder to Inbox and moved the messages to the Sent folder.
