i have BT business boadband (office unlimited ADSL2 Next Gen (up to 20 Mb)). Historically i have had poor broadband hence swapping to business to try and improve matters. i have now ditched the home hub and gone to a 7800N which has made a big difference. although over Christmas the flashing lights played havoc with the broadband and now i have a high SNR margin and interleaving..
However, my main question is will it be worth me pushing for ADSL2 given my line (stats from DSL stats below). currently my router will only connect with G.DMT so i am assuming i can only get ADSL? Will ADSL2 or indeed 2+ improve speed/stability on a long line with attenuation around 62 dB?
thanks everyone

If you PM me your ADSL number i can send you all the stats on your line including length and what this is capable of, alternately you can use Sam Knows > UK Broadband availability checker > Broadband checker to check if ADSL 2+ is available as well as a few other useful stats about your line.
if you have had a dropping connection and your line profile has changed then please report this via the contact us link as there may be a fault on the line.
The attenuation/loop loss is an indicator of how long your line is and nothing will shorten that. Though this could have risen due to an electrical imbalance no the line and fixing that will take the Attenuation down to what it should be.
Hope this helps
