ADSL2+

Is there any reason why a ISP would run ADSL2+ on a slow 1.5M connection? Wouldn't the extra ADSL2+ frequencies be detrimental??

Thanks

I belive its simply down to cost, so instead of requiring 2 different types of Technologys in each exchange they just have the one,

Hi there,

It would only be a problem if the signal to noise ratios were wrong for your line.  The equipment at the exchange actively monitors the quality of the line and if it's long or noisy it will modify these ratios to make it stable.

If there is a problem with this system it should be highlighted if you raise a fault to the helpdesk.

Thanks
