We have been having trouble recently communicating with some payment terminals that use older analogue modems. We have managed to prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the devices or the modems in question are working correctly.
There is some train of thought between myself and colleagues that upgrades to telecoms network (analogue-digital) could be having an adverse effect on communications.
Does anybody know if there could be any truth in this or point me in the direction of where to start?
