I received a call from a guy on bt sales asking me why if I had a business landlines no mobile... I said its because I'm a builder/gardener and often break my phones, he then told me how bt had an insurance policy to cover just that, even said I could burry it in concrete or basically throw it off a wall and it would be replaced, so I said but I'm on pay-as-you-go but the rest of my family were contracts with good phones (wife+3 kids) he said I knew you would say that because I've looked at your account and can bring your call cost down by having a bt mobile i.e free to ring house and so-on... he had me, its been around 6 months and I have a crack in the screen and its just freezing all the time... so I get on live chat and say I need a new phone.. they gave me a number and I told them same thing... the women said so the sales team been up to there tricks again we don't ever insure your phone !!!! Disgraceful .. so its freezing up though and that's a htc software problem I looked into this... the women then said I will try get the call record to hear what he said.. I doubt they will as in the past when I have had a problem and I was right they somehow never find those calls, but if you ask me if she said they are up them tricks its an admission that it happened ?!? I'm awaiting reply and ready to pay the large cancellation fee for the whole account I'm that sick of bt lies and blame passing. to make it worse they sent me 4 bt hubs in a row and when I said stop sending them I only need one I was told to to sell them on ebay !! we pay our bills for this !! then I was sent another mobile (4 months ago) I asked bt what is going on? the guy said ohh don't worry you only have 1 line and account number you can't be charged for it... it sat on my shelf for 1 month and sure enough I had an extra mobile bill !!! so I thought this is to get the cancel fee from me so I gave it to my son... a joke a mess and I hope another company gets a bit of training and runs bt into the ground before anyone else gets ripped off by the company I was once proud of... BRITISH TELECOMS doubt it more like Bangladesh ripped offcom jokes and ready to go ...
