Anyway to change billing to monthly and not quarterly?

adresch

Just upgraded to the Business fibre product from the residential service, but rather shocked to see a bill for £200!

Seems I'm on a quarterly bill rather than monthly, does anyone know if that can be changed?

Thanks Mark, yea I contacted them through chat, although it sounds like I'll still be charged the full £200 and the monthly direct debit won't take effect until April.

Hi adresch,

if you contact the billing team, they will be able to sort that out for you.

I am not surprised by this.  BT are the only company I deal with who have the cheek to expect you to pay for three whole months of service BEFORE you have actualy used any of it!  I just cancelled my direct debit and pay it when they bill me.

BT are very good at hiding the fact that as a business user you have to pay three months up front.  This means when you finally leave they owe you three months money but it will probably take you three months to get the money back after many hours on the phone.

Yea it's a bit of a shock, I don't remember anything about being billed for 3 months in advance when I signed up

Sad, but I regret "upgrading" to the business Fibre, but what can you do? Locked into the **bleep** contract for 2 years now.

Just waiting for the £150+ bill to hit my account at the beginning of April. 😞
