Average wait time for repair to broadband?

Hi,

 

I've rang the BT helpline desk to help fix my broadband which is not working (red light on hub).

I rang them on 7th October and they said it would be fixed in 48 hours, but it wasn't, so I rang again

on the 10th October and was told an engineer would call me next day at my chosen time. I chose

between 6.30pm and 8.30pm - this call never happened.

I then emailed them on 11th October and tonight on the 12th October.

 

Five days after initially reporting the problem, it still remains unfixed.

 

Is there an average time to wait for a repair, I'm just wondering how many days I should add to my internet dongle...
