BT 2700HGV Firmware 5.29.117.6 - Can I upgrade?

2Wire hub has just been unpacked from a sealed box and is running firmware 5.29.117.6. 

We want to match the firmware to our other identical hub running v 6.00  & set it up in bridged mode.

Leaving it on for a few days with a working broadband connection it hasn't updated, can I force it to?

update servers for this have been shut off over 2 years ago. The router will never upgrade automatically now. I had one of these routers and asked the same question. Its a no-go and 2wire wont help.

Instead of using it as a doorstep i put it into modem-only mode and got a real router infront of it.

Hi user_1,

I am afraid we are no longer able to push out firmware updates to the 2wire routers.

The V5 firmware can still be put into bridge mode if you need it to be.
