I have a client using a BT 2Wire 2700 HGV router.
I have setup port forwarding to forward tcp and udp packets on port 8001 to a static internal address.
This worked fine. We both tried accessing via different ways accross the net and all was fine.
Next day we tried and nothing!
Its as if the port is closed. I tried using http://www.ping.eu/port-chk/ this says its closed.
The rules are all there still.
I gave up and went on holiday for a couple of weeks, got back tried it again, great it worked. Tried the next day bang it doesnt work again!
Internally on the network the camera is fine and working all the time.
I can only assume its the routers fault but what can i do to rectify it?
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Have a look in the Firewall log. You should see if the firewall has passed the packet or not. Using an external port check can return a "closed" result even if the port is open.
In the Hub's user interface, click Settings - Logs - Firewall Log The bottom of the list shows the most recent event.
