The Tech guys told the sales team that it was possible to have 5 static IP's on my BT Home Hub becuase they didnt send me the BT Business Hub. But they were not able to tell me how to do this. In my mind i dont get how its possible?? But if they BT Tech Guys say its possible it must be?? :S The Sales team have setup 5 Static IP's on my account already i just need to learn how to apply them in my BT Home Hub

Thanks In advance

Hi Stephen,

Unfortunately the BT Home Hub does not have an option to setup Multiple Public Static IP addresses (Either 5 or 13)

The Home Hub will only work with Dynamically assigned IP address or a Single Public Static IP address.

The way BT Business Broadband Network works is when you connect online with your BT Business Broadband Username your Single Static IP address will be assigned to your router then you can open ports through your routers firewall to your internal devices.

Your only options would be:

1 - If you require more than 1 Public Static IP address you will need to change your router

2 - If you only require 1 Public Static IP address, our sales team will be able to re-grade you to this & then you can do as I mentioned above

Hope this helps

Apologies again why they said this was possible.

If you can private message me your reference number for this phone call to the broadband tech department or your broadband number I will feedback to the agent's manager for coaching purposes.
