BT Hosted VoIP - Optional Extras

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you could answer the following few questions:

If I have the BT Fax and Hosted VoIP Services, how do I ensure that I can obtain geographic numbering in the same number range or even in sequence?

Which service will provide me with the ability to have my voicemails sent to me as mp3s?

If we have a local power failure and our ADSL/Broadband service is no longer available, what backup/failure options does Hosted VoIP offer?

Can BT Falcon phones be connected to other ISP Broadband connections and still access the Hosted VoIP service?

Thanks

Hi Memale,

1) Although geographic numbers will be provided from the same exchange/region, we can't guarantee that they will be in sequence. That said, it is highly likely if they are ordered at the same time.

Your old landline numbers can also be imported at point of sale, if requested.

2) For more information about Voicemail 2 Email visit

http://www.bt.com/business/help/1571voicemailforwarding

3) There are a number of options for protecting yourself in such circumstances.

i) Divert your calls with Find-Me-Follow-Me functionality before the event. If calls to your VoIP numbers aren't answered, they will pass on to your mobiles/landlines as you prefer.

ii) Take your Falcon phones and/or laptop to another site with Broadband access and use them there to make calls.

4) BT Falcon phones can be connected to any broadband router on any ISP, in any country. Please note that quality of service may vary, as we are unable to officially support routers other than the BT Business Hub (2700v).

I hope this answers your questions.

Hi minicheddar,

With regards to response 2). Does Bt Business Email count as a BT Connect account?

Is there anyway to get voicemail forwarding without a BT Connect account?

Thanks

Hi Memale,

BT Business Email does count as BT Connect email address. This is currently the only way to access voicemail2email.
