How do I use BT Business Broadband with a non-BT router?

nburton

I have recently upgraded to BT Business Total Broadband option 2, with the BT Business hub. All is working fine, except that I want to use my existing VOIP router (Draytek 2820Vn or even the older 2800VG) instead of the BT Hub (incidentally the BT Home Hub is wireless n, so better than the Business Hub which is just b/g, how crazy is that?)

How do I find how to set it up? BT's help line only seem to be able to tell me the SIP password and the 0560 VOIP number, password and PIN, but the modem needs to know what the SIP server is and BT can't tell me.

Help please!

Hi Scoobs,

It is BT policy not to share VoIP platform details. This is for security reasons. All BT internet voice products come pre-configured and should not require the use of this information.

Thanks for understanding.
