Can anyone tell me when BT will make Office Communicator available for MAC OS.
MACs are taking over the world and it would seem sad if BT do not write a version.
I just wish they have plans on having office communicator available on Apple OS.
Hi,
Communicator is a Microsoft product. BT just supplies it as part of their VoIP service.
Also with regard to your statement:
"MACs are taking over the world"
I would like to add:
"1% of the market per year at a time. Ok maybe 2%"

I have been trying to configure the "Telephone" app on my iMac to use the VoIP line on my BT2700HGV router. The line has been configured and activated and is currently diverted to our landline but I would like to be able to make/answer calls via headset & mic on my iMac. Unfortunately the iMac does not have a phone socket to plug directly into the router phone socket, but it is hardwired via Cat 5e into one of the RJ45 ports.
The apps Accounts page in the Preferences dialogue box asks for the following information:
1. Description: this is self generating and is composed of items below: 05603******@api.home
2. Full Name: firstname surname
3. Domain: api.home
4. User Name: 05603******
5. Password: router serial number
I've tried configuring the OutboundProxyServer without success:
SIPOutboundProxyAddress=www.bbvservice-5603**.bt.com
Has anyone configured this App on MAC OS X before that could suggest where I'm going wrong?
