Hello,
We have a BT Versatitility System in our office, it use to work like this: when somebody rings the offiice they were presented with options to press one for customer service, two for accounts, three for internet sales, four for marketing.
When the person ringing made there choice it would play background music with a message of thank you for calling we will be with you shortly..... whilst the background music is palying the relevant extension is ringing in the office
However the other day our options completely disappeared and we had to have a BT engineer out to look at it, he changed the battery and the voice module in our system as apparently it was broken. Now we have options to press one, two etc but now only a ring tone plays....when i told the engineer it use to play music he told me no it didnt.....but it really did, how do we get this back as it was much more professional to have the music play rather than just a ringtone.
Thanks John
I just found this in the instruction manual but i cant get it to work?
When the caller enters the extension number correctly, the extension will ring. When the call is
ringing at the required extension or group, the Courtesy Service greeting from the internal source
is played to the external caller until the call is answered. If it is not answered within thirty seconds,
the call will be presented as a normal incoming call for five minutes after which time the call is
released. If the extension is busy the call is camped on to the extension. If a Divert On Busy is
programmed it is activated. If a Divert On No Answer is programmed it is activated after the no
answer timer expires. If the extension becomes free before the no answer timer expires the call is
presented to the extension.
