Hi,
I've just about given up on BT local business, they have been simply hopeless!!
So I'm hoping I can get some help here.
I have a BT Versatility V-IP Featurephone aspart of my package. It's taken weeks toeven get it so that it's able to make calls.
Now that I have it home there's a fundamental problem, itdoes not ring with incoming calls!! Ican make calls,
when I'm standing next to the phone and it rings line 1lights up and if I press it I can take the call. I have no plans to loiter by my phone
all the time so I'm hoping that someone can tell me how to make it ring.
Also.... As our business is small we often use "group divert" to forward calls to a mobile out of hours. When I go into thegroup divert screen on the BTVersatility V-IP Featurephone there's no groups listed, I'm expecting to see a group called "group 1"
I'll be really grateful for any help, I'm really at my whit’s end.
Cheers
Andy
Hi
This would require programming the V-IP extension into the ring group. Details on how to do this and support can be found through their product support page.
Kind Regards

I believe this individual issue is being dealt with but if anyone else has a similar problem please check with BT that your Broadband service is capable of supporting Broadband Voice calls via BT Versatility. You can do this by calling the BT Versatility helpdesk on 08702 408377.

I totally agree with Jame, DO NOT beleive what the BTLB sales person tells you without checking first. I worked in IT for 20 years, I told the sales person I did not think it would work acceptably as we only had 512kbs, but he assured me it would. That was when we signed up for the last system, we not have 1mbs broad band and whilst it's not great it's a lot better.
My experience with the BT engineers and helpdesks has always been brilliant. My experience of BTLB has generally been poor, they are interested in their commisions only.
Cheers

Andy thanks for your comments, these have been passed to the relevant team, as you now know. They will look to improve the process where it needs improving.
