BT Versatility with Virgin Media PSTN lines

Hello all,

We have a BT Versatility which has been in for a few days now,we are very pleased with it.

We have VM (Virgin Media) PSTN lines which do have the caller id enabled on as verified if we connect one of the Dect base station direcly to the master socket and ring the line the number is displayed.

When the Versatility is direcly connected as normal to the lines and CDS is enabled the caller id is not displayed on any handset or feeature phones, we get "NUMBER UNAVAILABLE" instead or simply unavailable on any of the regular handsets connected.

After some research it seems there is different types of caller id, and it seems from other forums that VM use the bellcore standard instead of the DTMF FSK/ETSI which seems to be the BT standard. Other than CDS enabled on the lines there doesnt seem to be any other settings.

Also, its been upgraded to version 851 the installer said that he didnt have anything newer, there seems to be version of 915 available. We have been left a copy of the Ovida engineers software, is it worth upgrading, what are the differences, can someone provide a download link please.

Thanks.
