BT capping my speed to 450kbps, again!

Hi,

Ive been through this problem not so long ago with BT capping my speeds, they sorted it and now again it is happening. It usually runs downstream around 1224kbps and upstream 512kbps and now it seems to go down all the time, now to even as low as 450kbps which is no good as you would probably agree its not fun. I keep having too reset my modem to get my speeds back up to something worth using with the net.

Can you please sort this out for me again!

Hi reece71079, is there a specific time that this is happening? It is possible that this happens on peak hours. 

You can also try to open up a ticket with BT to have this one checked. So far, I don't recall any capping policy from them.

Its got nothing to do with peak times, its seems to happen when you have downloaded a large file or used e-mail regular. Then your downstream all of a sudden goes from 1300kbps to 450kbps overnight! What a coincidence!

Sort it out BT, please its happening to regular and gets right on my T**S.

The speed has raised slightly to 995kbps, it does seem to be going up a bit so I presume you have taken note and done something. No reply as yet from the team.

I will suggest you to open a ticket for this and moreover if possible call their technical support team and discuss about the issue
