BT just won't close my account! Wouldn't even bother to reply to my emails, letters!

I have sent a letter by post, sent a few online requests thru the contact us pages over the last few months requesting BT to close the web hosting package but BT just wouldn't respond. They are sending the invoices though!

The package was taken more than 12 months ago because wanted to create a website, no help what so ever from the technical team as advertised on the BT website and over all an appalling service.

Having wasted waiting on the phone, have realised that getting them over the phone is just impossible.

Simply disgusting!!

Am hoping somebody will take notice and help me bid bye to BT for the first & final time! Will live without a phone or internet, will emigrate to a different country but BT - Never again!!

Hi ash-belfast,

Sorry to read about the issues you are having with your account.

I am afraid on the forum we are not able to assist with this.

You can however speak with the cancellation team again to assist you with this.

Their contact options are listed here.

Thanks

Tracey

Hi Tracey

Thank you for your reply. I have TRIED so many times to contact the BT cancellations team exactly thru the same channels as specified in your link with no result that am now actually very TIRED of it.

I intend to write a complaint and send by recorded post to the BT CEO Ian Livingston, and copies to Gavin Patterson, CEO BT Retail and Sir Michael Rake, Chairman BT.

The next step obviously would be to write to OTELO and OFCOM followed by a case in the Small Claims Court here for recovering costs.

Thank you,

Ash-Belfast
