Hi
I've got a CCTV system hooked up to BT2700HGV via ethernet cable. And everything works fine if I'm trying to access it via LAN but when i try to make put it online thats where the trouble starts
On the CCTV Networks settings page its telling me to redirect ports 80 and range from 8000-8007.
So I went to firewall settings and made a firewall rule and assigned it to the cctv, but didn't help much
I even tried changing the cctv settings to use different ports, then creating a new firewall rule but still nada
Mind you I don't have any other firewall rules apart from this one so we can't be speaking about firewall rules conflict etc
Currently I'm not even able to view the page, not to mention the streams.
I also got another desktop connected wirelessly to router running apache web server and as a test i tried to put it online as well but still doesnt work (I used the "Web server" rule from Servers)
I tried both using static ip or dhcp still nothing
The only thing that seems to be working its putting the CCTV in the DMZ but its obvious that you can only access it throught the internet not lan.
Is there anything and I can do help me out solve it ?
From the firewall logs I see that traffic is being redirected as it suppose to :
src=192.168.1.65 dst=192.168.1.71 ipprot=6 sport=44170 dport=80 Session Matches User Pinhole, Packet Passed
Technical details :
Model: BT2700HGV
Hardware Version: 2701-100589-005
Software Version: 5.29.117.6
Hi bezdop,
When you are setting up the port forwardign and testing it, are you on the same connection as the CCTV?
If you are, can you try accessing the IP and port from a different connection?
Because when a conenction that has a single static IP, you will only be able to view the cams onsite by uisng the local IP and access the cams offsite using the routers WAN IP and open port number.
