I have connected an ASA5505 VPN gateway to my BT2700HGV router but cannot find the device listed on connected devices on BT27000HGV hub setup. I need to highlight the device so that I can map a static ip to it on NAT/Address allocation. Can anybody help

I'd suggest putting the 2wire in bridge mode and using the ASA to do PPP.

 

Then you can make proper use of your firewall.

 

The 2700HGV is an extremely poor device to have in front of your asa!

 

Even consider using an 877 and unnumbering the layer 2 vlan against the dialer interface, and using that as the default gateway for the asa, if your version of ios doesnt support ppp.
