How do I set up my BT email accounts on the new Blackberry Z10 Smartphone?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have looked into this, the black berry website has a walkthrough on finding the set up on the phone you can find this here
as for the type of account choose other > pop/pop3
and use the following settings
Incoming server
Server - outlook.office365.com
port – 995
connection type – SSL
ensure that this is authorised with the full email address and password including the domain i.e..@btconnect.com
Outgoing
Server - smtp.office365.com
port – 587
connection type – TLS ( this may need to be STARTTLS )
make sure the outgoing server requires authentication and authenticate with the same details as the incoming server
let me know if this works
*edit*
this may just take the username and password and then tell you this does not work ( this is because blackberry will try to autodiscover the settings) you may need to specify enter manually. If this does not appear the deliberately misspell @btconnect.com - this will give you the opportunity to manually enter the settings
I queried this with EE support and they say not supported which was a bit of a shocker, looking into further tomorrow.
Any joy guys?
I have an alias for my btconnect email and cannot get it set up, mine is with Tmobile / EE, they cant help and neither can BT!
Evening,
How was it all resolved with the alias named account, as i am having the same problem with the BB Z10. I have tried the link which is very detailed but still no e-mail connection. Frustarting beyond belief as another account loaded simply.
