Broadband userid/password problem

JPMIBM

Hi,

Bit of a tough one.

I work on a customer site, with a broadband line paid for by my employer (so our systems are kept seperate from the customers systems).

We have an old BT Voyager220v ADSL modem and a Linksys WRT546R Router.

Due to the turn over of personnel working here, none of the original people that set the broadband up are onsite anymore. No one seems to know the password to the router so we cannot access any settings etc, also, no one has record of the userid and password for the ADSL line (it is held in the router, but we cannot access it) the router has been getting unreliable lately and we have a replacement ready to install, however, without the userid and password for the modem, the new router is useless.

Any tips on how we should proceed? the system has been here for so long that the contact number on the BT paperwork we do have is 0800 800154 (which does not work) and the BT booklet is dated 2006.

Help please!!!

The support desk will be able to provide the UID and PWD for te line - provided you can demonstrate that you are legitimately entitled to it.

The 220v is old and has been superceded many times - you should look at getting that replaced too.

When you have the details - write them on the units!

I seem to have the same question and was thinking of getting ID and password for my broadband connection. I guess this is the first thing I should do to it. Thanks.
