Had major problem with  one of our phone lines which is our business broadband line.  Problem started Friday 4th Feb. 9 am BT had line back up and running within couple of hours but when calling out on the re connected line caller id showed a completely buy rolex replica different telephone number, we were told this was nothing to be concerned about and they would have this resolved along with the broadband connection by Saturday.  Its now Wednesday spent several hours on the phone to BT still no progress.  How saying its a mapping problem as our broadband line has been lost!  Been promised return calls with updates, still waiting.  Been a satisfied customer for over 25 years at a loss how to rectify problem.  Business suffering without Broadband.  Would be great for BT to let us know what's going on.  Feel like we are in a loop very frustrating as no one is actually telling us anything concrete.  Who can we ask for help!

4th Feb?

Is that a typo or is the problem 11 months old?

Speak to support,  and if you are not happy with their forecast resolution time which should be less than 24 hours, ask for it to be escalated immediately.

tell the escalation point that you are unhappy with the failure to resolve and you need a solition and that they MUST get service resyored within 4 hours or send a 3G modem to you whcih will allow you to continue using broadband connectivity.

As for the loss of number,  what happens if you call the number?    You may need to get a divert put on that too.

Broadband in telecommunications refers to a signaling method that includes or handles a relatively wide range (or band) of frequencies. Broadband is always a relative term, understood according to its context. The wider (or broader) the bandwidth of a channel, the greater the information-carrying capacity, given the same channel quality.

The phrase broadband refers to a telecommunications signal or device of superior bandwidth. This service is mostly used because of its high speed. It is offered in DSL, fiber optic, cable and satellite.
