Hi,
During recent testing we realised that anyone connecting to our website using Internet Explorer 7 would experience an incompatibility issue whereby the browser would freeze and provide an error message and close. IE7 accounts for roughly 40% of our traffic and of this our GA stats show a 100% bounce rate with a maximum one page hit rate which is due to the browser crashing. I then ran a test on the http://www.browsershots.org website to determine how many browser versions are not compatible with our epages website which returned varying results.
We are still working on this issue but I would be interested to know if any other BT eShop customers have experienced similar problems. It's likely that you do but have not realised if you use IE8 or IE9 as these should work fine.
I did report an IE8 compatibility problem in February in my post ' Any problems with eShop and Vista OS?' . Originally I
thought it looked like an operating system issue - hence the post title. But I eventually solved the problem by switching to the Firefox browser.

Sorry, when I now read your post more thoroughly, I realise you are talking about problems from the perspective of the customer and the browser he is using. My reply of yesterday referred to an issue concerning use of different browsers to undertake eShop admin, which is still a problem, but of no relevance to yours.
My apologies

Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply but yes, this refers to browser compatibility and the number of customers we are potentially losing because of varying issues caused. As an example I checked your website using Firefox 3.0.3 which as per below screenshot you can see that the homepage is not loaded/presented as it should be. As you can expect, this would cause the customer to exit your site and look elsewhere immediately. This is only ONE example browser issue. Check your site on www.browsershots.org or other test site and see what results you get back. I'll update this post with more findings as I have them.
Thanks
