Business is hard enough... ...Is a new line too much to ask!!!

Following recent relocation and expansion of our business we have required the installation telephone / broadband lines.

In order to ensure the smooth transition from one location to another we placed the order with BT in July of this year, with a view to transferring our operation to the new site at the end of September.  Shortly after placing the order we recieved a letter notifying us that our services would be installed and functioning by the middle of September.  Lovely we thought, timed to perfection...   ...how wrong we could be!!

Those of you that have ever relocated a business can appreciate the planning and importance of minimising the disruption to production and the workforce during this period.  Which is why we are particularly appalled at the service we are currently recieving from BT as we still have no functioning internet.  As a predominantly software orientated company there is a great deal of value placed on email and we require the internet access to support some of our customers activities.  This is crippling our business and BT do not want to know in the slightest!

After countless hours being bumped around the call centre system from pillar to post, spending further hours on hold and making calls to the customer services on a daily basis we are still without a broadband line installed.  The response and reaction that we have recieved from BT and thier operators has been nothing but unhelpful.  What does it take to get through to BT that this is causing considerable damage to our business and the longer it goes on the worse it gets!!!

We have now been given a date of the 27th October before the internet will be available, three months after placing our order which is nothing but a joke.  To further add to our dissipointment with the service we have learned today that the installation could now be delayed for weeks if not months!!!

This is not acceptable in this day and age, BT have not offered any alternative nor been helpful in the slightest way, after this experience once the lines are finnally installed I doubt if they shall remain our service provider following this complete fiasco!

How many more SME ventures are BT going to make life even harder for, how BT survive as a business entity with an absolute disgusting customer service is beyond belief. It's nothing but an abomination!!
