Cannot assign Static IP addresses using Business Hub 3 as no network devices listed

Hi Guys,

I have searched the web high and low for an answer to this but have only found answers that relate to the old 2-wire business hub.

I have a new Business Hub 3 as provided with my BT Infinity for Business and I also have 5 static IP addresses.

I have a SBS 2011 server providing my DHCP.

When I try to set up the HH3 to assign the static IP to my SBS server there are no devices listed under Business Network.

I have left it for 24 hours and rebooted all the devices on my network and the HH3. I can browse any website or ping any site however no device appears on the HH3.

I have set up my network like so:

BT Infinity Modem plugged into

BT Business Hub 3

Plugged into the Gigabit port is a unmanaged Gigabit switch

Plugged into the switch is a number of PC's, Server's, printers, etc.

On the BT BUsinees HUb 3:

Assigned the HH3 a static ip address of 192.168.x.254

Disabled DHCP (it is provided by my SBS 2011 server)

I have enabled static IP addresses

I have enabled the wireless network on the HH3

Please can someone advise me on how to set up the HH3 so I can assign my static IPs to my devices or tell me how to get my devices to appear on the HH3??

I suspect that the devices are not being listed because the HH3 isn't running DHCP?

Many thanks in advance

Im having the same issue. With 425 views so far I guess everyone is looking for a different question. I think your right though, I suspect its down to DHCP. Seems silly, its not like your going to rebuild your network just because you have a new service provider. Good luck with finding your answer.

Have you set the SBS to a specific local IP?
as anything below 192.168.1.66 will not be picked up
try setting that to 192.168.1.100 and then rebooting, if that does not work try setting the IP to automatic in the SBS TCP IP settigs

Hope this helps
