I have an I phone 5c and an email adress from a BT hosted domain for my business. I have set up eamail as shown on this board but I get a message that connection to the outgoing server " smtp.office365.com" failed when I send from the phone.
I can receive email.
the connection works from my pc in Outlook and on webmail.
How can I resolve this?

Can you double check on the phones outgoing settings that you have set outgoing authentication to password, and put in the email address and password of the account you are setting up.

Thank you. I understand the outgoing server I am supposed to set up is smpt.office365.com but when I enter that I get a message that I cannot use with smpt and do I want to try with SSL. When I try that I also get a message it is not responding.
So the primary server box is empty and although smpt. office365.com is entered as the other server it does not respond.
Could you suggest what I do next?
