Changing colours of website

Reg
Member

Hi,

Need help with changing the background and main colours to my website, BT designed the site and I am a complete novice, use Joolma and have tried to edited it through the template manager they designed but it informs me that The parameter file /templates/reg_template/params.ini is unwritable! so unable to edit

Am I trying the right place to edit or should I be looking some where else on Joolma.

Any direction would be a help

Reg

There is a specialist Joomla (note the spelling) forum for websites built that way. This thread looks similar to your difficulty:

There is some salutary advice about setting permissions and ownership for files on your webserver. Getting them right helps a lot with site security.
