Changing to the new VAT rate help

Hi,

I hope someone can help me here. I posted in the Eshop section but had no response yet and really need to get this changed now after all the hassle I had last year.

I know how to change the tax matrix to 17.5% but what if I want to keep my gross prices the same?

For example; I have a product that sells for £199 but I don't want to increase the gross price, which would be £203.32. How do I get around that without changing every single price separately?

Many thanks

Martin

Hello Marti,
you are right the prices has changed.
Sorry for me first post!

I have tested again  and found out the same problem.
I forwarded this issue to our development team and I will inform you as soon as I have an answer.

As a workaround, I recommend you to use the export / import function from the shop. Export the csv file, before the tax changes are made (15%VAT), the list prices should be the same. Then change the tax matrix and import back the same csv file.

Kind Regards,

Dear Martin,

if your shop has the tax model "gross" then the product price on List price will still the same. the different will be in how much of the total amount is tax and how much is profit.

Thank you, its worked.

I tried the same thing last year but deleted the products before importing back in as asked to do so in the tutorial at that time and ended up losing everything. Thats why I was very hesitant doing the same thing this time.
