Crazy Exchange

Please advise as I'm not a happy customer at the moment.

Since the start of March 2011 my broadband service has been very poor in regards speed. I'm getting only around 2Mbps download whereas I have been getting no less than 6.5/7Mbps 24/7 for over 4 years.

I called up the tech support team that could not find any problems and said must just be heavy traffic... (I know that's not what it is).

I called again next day... I different story... They said it was because I live to close to the exchange I'm getting over 8Mbps which is overloading my line. (Then why has this not been happening all the other years)?

So I called again the following day... Guess what a different story! They told me it was because I'm in the first 10 days of the stabilisation period! (Why when I DO NOT have a new connection, they could not answer this).

What's going on? Can someone help me with some advice or if BT staff reads this please can you make sure my Internet is fixed ASAP.

Just another thing about why I'm not happy. I have been following the BT Wholesale information about ADSL2+ for my exchange for the 20Mbps service. It had been 30/03/2011 until switch on, but last week when my Internet went slow it was updated to 30/06/2011. Why has it been delayed? Also anything to do with my SLOW speeds?!?

And to BT STAFF my next door neighbour on BT residential broadband when I asked to test their Internet speed was download of 7.6Mbps! Why Less than 2Mbps for Business now?

Hi philip_smith3,

Sorry to read about the issues that you are having with your internet connection.

I am afraid we are not able to fix technical issues on the forum. You would need to speak to the Technical Support team who would be able to assist you further with this.

I do understand you have already spoken with them, however they may need to look at booking a fault for you.

Thanks

Tracey
