Voyager 220v and Zoom x6 5690

Our small office currently has 5 desktop computers linked vis a ethernet switch which is also linked to the Voyager 220v. We want to create a Wireless router that we have bought, the Zoom X6 5690 as some staff want to connect laptops to it. I have tried just taking the Voyager out and plugging the Wireless Router in but it wont setup, we can access the routers interface but no matter what settings we seem to change we just cannot connect to the internet. Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kenrich,

Looking at the spec of this router it can be configured as the main router. All you need to do is log onto the routers config page, this page can be accessed by putting the default gateway address into your web browser address bar By default the zoom is 192.168.1.1. input your BT network login username and password. Other settings it may require are VPI = 0 and VCI = 38, Encapsulation Type = VCMUX and connection type of PPPOA.

Hi Kenrich,

Sorry to read about the issues you are having.

I am afraid this is not something that the forum mods can assist you with. As the Zoom x6 5690 is not a BT router our Technical help team will not be able to assist you with this, hopefully one of the forum users will be able to assist you with this.

You can contact our IT support manger team on - 0800 500 247 who would be able to assist you with this, they are however a chargeable desk.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. Just a quick question though, would the router, if setup correctly be able to replace the Voyager or will it have to be a combination of both?
