Do I have to deal with BTLB

Hello there,

My company has been a long time customer with BT, and the actual physical service is second to none. However we've had huge problems with BTLB. Our account manager seems to resort to 'double glazing' sales methods if you know what I mean. I have personally been lied to in an attempt to get me to sign contracts several times, once he actually succeeded before I was able to catch him out on it. During a recent contract renewall, he came up with some information, insisitng that if I did not sign by the end of the year any pricing he had managed to get me would be forever lost. I called the relevant department at BT itself to be informed that said salesperson was making it up as he went along.

Is there any way that I can deal with BT direct, and also lodge a formal complaint with BT themselves? As when I've asked directly for a new account manager from a senior person at BTLB I've been told, in short, to go away...

Thanks,

Hi,

I am sorry to see you are having problems with your BTLB, I have sent you a private message (PM) requesting more details, if you can respond to this please.

We had 5 years of suffering painfully with BTLB and advised BT of the issue's we had with them. We even took them to court and won and were awarded compensation as we had proof of their apalling service and liesbut still had to suffer BTLB. We have now outsourced and halved our annual bill as we are charged by the second. I dont have to talk to BT that either dont understand me, cut me off, lie to me, dont call me back, leave me holding for over an hour etc.

I cancelled my service June 2013 and BT have still been taking money out of my account. I am now in the process of dealing with BTLB to get my money back and being fobbed off that "the relevant team are looking into this and will get back to me" but BTLB cant give me any contact details to chase up or when they will refund me. Incidentally the money that has been taken is because BTLB cancelled my service but failed to cancel the maintenance on the line and service that was ceased.

BT "Communications" company yet they cant communicate effectively with their customers or within their organisation. Trying to run a business and work with BT has cost me considerably due to wasted man hours on the phone. We actually provide communications service so understand their fob offs better than most hence I successfully took them to court about their underhand tactics and charges at BTLB. Be aware, escalate whatever you can to BT as BTLB in my experience should not be trusted!!!

We too have encountered mis-selling and dishonesty from BTLB - 2 years of hassle following their fraud has resulted in an agressive offer of £500 from some joker in Scotland.

Did you use a lawyer to take them to court?

BTLB don't seem to care a hoot about it & the Ombudsman will not deal as we spend too much with them
