Domain Redirect during server outage

Hi we have 3 domains registered with BT and will be having a power outage for a few hours Monday 2nd April.  What I would like to do is redirect and traffic to the effected domains -- to an outage page on our BT hosted website -- www.oakmont.co.uk/Outage

This would be for a relatively short period -- say 3-4 hours max.

I have attempted a test with one of the domains and received an error as follows:

You are trying to set a www record, when one already exists for this domain. This can cause issues with the domain resolving properly. None of the changes just submitted have been saved. If you need to change a www record please use Advanced Domain Manager.

What is the problem.  Ideally I would like to switch on the redirect Monday morning and remove Monday PM.

Can this be achieved ?

For issues like this, is there an option for customers to do it themselves? Like setting this up on a web portal or something similar?
