Domain and web hosting

I have a domain registered with BT and have web hosting with them.  How do I upload the htm files?  First time doing this and feeling a bit lost.

Hi Kirtsys101,

Have you activated the hosting pack with the domain name?

If not if you go to http://myoffice.bt.com

Click on manage services and login as your main @btconnect.com email address.

Then click on manage webhosting

Then click activate webhosting and select your domain name.

This will then prompt you to create an ftp password. Once you have done this you can now upload your website via ftp. One way of uploading via ftp is through windows explorer.

Open windows explorer

Put in ftp.domainname.co.uk into the address bar

you will get a 550 error message, click on file or right click and select "login as"

username will be the domainname.co.uk and password is the one you set when you activated the hosting pack
