Domain expired yesterday? Gone from the Console?

My domain expired yesterday, only just spotted the email from BTBusiness stating so too. My fault for not spotting it 2 months ago.

I cannot seem to find out how to renew it now, the address now points to some strange search engine with no contact details on it.

Nominet still shows it as registered to me, how come it's now pointing there?

My email has also stopped working....

Anyone know?

Hi

In previous packages BT used to keep the domain registered (I have had mine drop off before too cos they didn't keep it regsitered) - I believe while you're in contract they still should perform this function (though I was told last year that I would have to pay for my own registration - somewhat confusing but I'll find out next year..). I think you want to contact the DNS team at BT to find out what (if anything) you need to do next.

Yeh the weird search engine is a bit worrying but that's what usually happens - don't worry your domain name is just frozen - no-one else can get it 🙂 Unfortunately your email will be out of service for now.

The correct link for renewing a BT domain is:

https://www.btdomainsaccount.com/RenewExpired/Process/Welcome.aspx

Just type in the domain and follow the steps.
