Domain names and publishing

Hi all.

I bought a domain from BT and signed up for the e-shop. I have created my shop which still needs some work but seems to be working fine and I have taken a couple of orders.

However, the orders I have taken are from people that have been given the web address, and not from search engines as you can't find us! The site has been up for 4-5 months now and I have filled in the google registration in the wizard several times.

The domains I have registered are, http://www.baybeez.org (which re-directs to the store) and http://baybeez.org (which goes no-where for some reason even though i have asked several times for this to be fixed)

The URL on the e-store does not contain my web address in any shape or form which i find frustrating. (all it shows is http://www.btowstore.com/epages/BT3116.sf)

Could someone look at the site and tell me where I am going wrong please? It would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Neal.

Register.com are the company BT use to register domains.... don't go contacting them.

OK, it looks like the domain has been URL forwarded to the shop rather than set up correctly. You should contact BT to ask them to associate the domain with the shop using an A record repoint. They should be able to do this.

The IP address that Chantale has given is incorrect so don't ask for this. This IP address is for the normal hosting packages and not the eShop.

If you fill in the following form asking for the domain to be pointed to your eShop they should know what you mean and be able to sort it.

Hi

The reason why baybeez.org is not working is because the DNS is not correct. If you contact your registrar, Register.com, ask them to change the IP address for your blank record from 212.78.86.81 to 209.235.144.9, you will get this resolved.:smileyhappy:

Dave is right. My mistake. I did provide the IP for the hosting and not the eshop. Sorry about that!
