Hi,
Wonder if anybody can help me out. I have setup my website site but I have forgotten to put in a drop-down box on each product page to select which size I require for that product (i.e. xsmall, small, medium etc.....). I have tried to do this but can't figure it out. What I want is for the customer to select the size and how many they require and then click Add to shopping basket and both the informstion (size and how many they reqiure) is then passed to the shopping basket. Can anybody out there tell me how I do this.
Paul.

Hello Paul,
this type of product, which can be available in different sizes, colours and so on, must be created with the help of the "variations" tool in your eShop back office.
This is how you should proceed :
1) you should start by creating the suitable product type (for example, if your product is a pair of shoes, the product type should be named "shoe" and should be used everytime you create a new product which is a pair of shoes).
In your eShop back office :
* Go to "Products" > "Product types" > enter the name of your new product type.
* Click on the name of your new product type and go to the "Attributes" tab. An attribute is in your case "Size".
* Enter the name of the attribute and select "Text with value selection"
* Click on the attribute name and enter the different values in the "Value selection" tab.
2) Once you have created the product type and its matching attribute(s) and values, you can create the variations of your product.
* Through "Products" > "Products" go to your product. After having clicked on the product name, in the "General" ta, go to "Attributes" and select the matching product type.
* Then go to the "Variations" tab and select the values you need, click "Save" and click on "Start the product variation assistant" above. After having gone through the product variation assistant, your product will be available in different variations, i.e. sizes in your case.
Please note that all variations can be considered as products, and as such can be personalised with their own photo, text, price, etc
Regards,
The eShop Team

Hi
After reading to so many answers, I still cant figure out how to use the product variation with price options not size and colour. In my case I sell divan beds. I need to create a drop down menu with different options and corresponding prices. E.g no storage for £xx, 2 Drawers for £xxx, 4 Drawers for £xxx.
Please advise. I reied for one week but unsuccessful.

Hello,
When you create the variation as indicated in the post before you are creating singles products which are link together with the same mother product but you can still giving their own prices.
