Hello,

Has anyone ideas as to how to edit the RSS feed (content) with EasySiteWizard Pro. Do i have to edit the actual xml file? Searched but no clues so far.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Rob,

When the RSS feed box is ticked on the main sites page (the first page you reach when loggin in to Easy Site Wizard Pro, you are prompted to provide RSS/update information on a small pop-up box when you publish the site.

Each time you make an update you can republish and type the relevant info into the box.

Editing any of the background xml files is not recommeded.

Best regards,

Colin

Many thanks for the quick response! I understand how to update new content and Headlines, but how do I edit or delete past Content already in the RSS feed? Should have made this clearer in original question, apologies.

Cheers.

Hi Rob,

We do not provide a "front end" tool to allow you to delete/edit previous RSS entries.

Unlike a blog it is not designed to include this functionality (certainly not on BT hosting) and only allows updates to be submitted then read by a subscriber's RSS feed reader, these will then be deleted after a certain period of time and not on a manual basis.

As you have suggested, the information will populate an XML file which can be edited by yourself to remove previous posts etc.

However, this is not be recommended or supported by us.

Hope that helps.

Again many thanks for the quick response. I'll be extra prudent now I know, I don't want to saturate the feed with too much content, intentionally or by mistake.

Cheers.
