Editting page propoerties - problem

why when i edit the page properties in the easy wizard does it not close even when saved?

heres an update - I notice that when I press save or duplicate it says error on page - is there a bug in the system - if so how is anybody expected to create a website that you can not edit the page details

This is a known bug that only affects Internet Explorer. Until it is fixed you can get round it by using an alternative browser such as Firefox.
